We proactively communicate with our clients a lot and we cover a lot of different topics…
CLIENT COMMUNICATION SCHEDULE
1099 FORMS LETTER – January
A letter goes out to every client letting them (and their tax preparers) know exactly which 1099’s they will receive, when they are expected, and for which account(s).
ANNUAL REVIEWS – February to April
We reach out to every client for information updates and update their 1-Page Financial Plans. We review investment performance and portfolio changes. We establish both short-term and long-term Plans of Action.
TAX RETURN REVIEWS – October
We collect as many returns as we can in April and then spend most of September reviewing them and preparing emails to send out. We discuss any recommendations with our clients in October.
ROTH CONVERSIONS REQUIRED MIN DISTRIBUTIONS, ETC. – October to December
From October to the end of the year we are busy helping our clients complete Roth Conversions, Back-Door Roth IRA Contributions, Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), and any gifting.
CONTRIBUTION LETTER – November
Another letter goes out to every client educating them on the contribution limits for retirement accounts, what they have contributed, and what they can still contribute for the current year.
INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT – Every Quarter
Every quarter, like clockwork, we rebalance our clients’ Advisory accounts (98% of our accounts). We then send out an email letting each client know which accounts were rebalanced, some of the changes that were made, and any potential tax consequences.
WEBINARS – Every Quarter-ish
We attempt to host meaningful webinars throughout the year for our clients and professional partners to attend.
EDUCATIONAL EMAILS – Frequently
Our goal is to educate our clients so that they can make informed decisions as it pertains to pursuing their financial goals. We have a theme each year and send out regular educational emails.
“OPEN DOOR” POLICY
Our clients can speak with us whenever they need to. We expect to hear from our clients to discuss major life events like a job change, retirement, buying or selling a home, or changes in health.
